Our Goal

Very simply to help you become the best you’ve ever been. You will achieve goals you never thought were possible under the careful supervision and motivation of our experienced trainers. You will achieve an unprecedented fitness level that will not only help you look and feel amazing, but will prepare you for whatever life throws at you. We are lucky to be a part of the greatest community on the planet and can’t wait for you to join us.

Our program is designed for all individuals regardless of age or fitness level. Our carefully programed fitness movements can be scaled to the very basics. By varying the load and intensity, we start you at a level appropriate to your fitness and experience. With commitment and hard work you will become more fit and become more athletic. We emphasize proper technique of all fundamental functional movements. The stimulus we provide is always varied and the workouts are ever-changing producing very dramatic results. The atmosphere is one of support and camaraderie.

We define fitness as increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains. Capacity is the ability to do real work, which is measurable using the basic terms of physics (force, distance, and time). Life is unpredictable (much more so than sport) so real world fitness must be broad and not specialized, both in terms of duration and type of effort (time and modal domains).

Our 2,500 sq ft facility allows us to workout comfortably and still provide the intimacy and personal attention you should demand from a CrossFit box. Unlike the mega box gyms we focus on quality of coaching and equipment over quantity.

Meet The Staff

There is a niche in the health and fitness market to be filled in our area where all members are addressed as valued and respected clients.  Our coaches have over 80 years of combined experience and training in both coaching and business relations and these two important characteristics are often lacking in boxes.  Furthermore, the copycat gyms are in many instances selling a concept without a foundation in the basics of form, movement patterns and the functional nature of the CrossFit concept.  We seek to create an environment of constant learning and improvement in the multiple domains, for all levels of fitness with the central goal for each member to be a better person in all ways than the one they were the day before.

I’m a 62 year old female, who has never been athletic. I did swim as a child and teen, but never competitively. That’s about it. Most of my adult years have been sedentary. I do nails so my work is sitting down. In May, 2014, I had resigned myself to my golden years, watching TV and essentially couch sitting.  Though I had lost over 100 pounds thanks to weight-loss surgery in 2000, and had regained some mobility, I had very little energy, stamina or strength. It was difficult even to climb the 5 steps into my home or get off the floor without assistance.

My daughter started doing CrossFit while at school in California. I was intrigued. I went to an intro session, and the workout was pushups, pullups, sit-ups and squats. RIGHT! Luckily that day I learned about scaling. The pull-ups were scaled to ring rows with very little angle, pushups were knee pushups, and even then I had to snake up. Situps were only done with a coach holding an assistance band, and the squats… to a 20” box. However, I came to the next class and have never looked back.

One of the key points in CrossFit is its scalability. EVERYONE can do CrossFit. I’m pushing 4 years in, and I still can’t do a squat correctly. But I just keep plugging away. In fact, most movements have to be scaled for me. But my mobility and stamina and strength have skyrocketed. While I will never be a competitive athlete, I no longer shy away from activities. I feel better than I ever have. CrossFit isn’t easy, but it is absolutely doable. It is worth every ounce of effort put into it. I would encourage anyone to give it a try. Remember, it is infinitely scaleable. There truly are no excuses!
