Our team of certified CrossFit coaches is dedicated to helping our clients reach their fitness goals. We believe CrossFit is for everyone. Our team will work with you to listen to your needs, ensure that you practice safe technique, and help you achieve your goals. We strive to create a community who supports each other in a common goal to reach your optimal level of fitness.

What is CrossFit?

“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.” — Greg Glassman

CrossFit is a fitness regimen developed by Greg Glassman over several decades. Glassman, CrossFit's Founder and CEO, was the first person in history to define fitness in a meaningful, measurable way: increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains. He then created a program specifically designed to improve fitness and health.

CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. These are the core movements of life. They move the largest loads the longest distances, so they are ideal for maximizing the amount of work done in the shortest time. Intensity is essential for results and is measurable as work divided by time—or power. The more work you do in less time, or the higher the power output, the more intense the effort. By employing a constantly varied approach to training, functional movements and intensity lead to dramatic gains in fitness.

Yoga

Our yoga session is custom designed to address the flexibility issues faced by active CrossFitters. We have sessions both before the scheduled WODs to serve as a general warm up to the workout and after the WOD when the muscles are warm and ready for deep stretching. No prior skill is required and there is no expectation of ability. Everyone is welcome to come laugh with and at each other.

Massage Therapy

We also offer massage therapy in-house, under the same roof as our CrossFit facility. Our licensed massage therapist Kristy is professionally trained with a degree in exercise science that also happens to participate in CrossFit on a daily basis. As such she is intimately familiar with the aches and pains that result from an active lifestyle.

Whether you suffer chronic issues, intermittent flare-ups, or just generally need to be worked loose, Kristy is excellent at customizing her services to suit your unique needs. For additional information on services, pricing, and background please contact Kristy.
